FAQs
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by Tuesday 18th April.
Are children welcome?
We love your little ones, however this is an adult only wedding due to the nature of the venues.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
Any questions can be directed via email to Georgina at georgina.nortonsmith@gmail.com. For any urgent questions or queries please text Georgina on 0400 033 386 or mother of the bride, Mary on 0418 768 641. Any queries on the day of the wedding, please direct to Mary.
What if I have dietary requirements/allergies?/What will we be eating?
We can accommodate for all dietary requirements, restrictions and allergies. Please be sure to let us know by 27th April, via the email address above.
We will have some small refreshments/canapés at Lindesay House, followed by a large banquet meal at Mr Wong. Please come hungry :)
What will the weather be like?
Temperatures in late May range between 15-22 degrees. Our ceremony will be outdoors (pending rainfall) so please dress accordingly if you have a tendency to get cold. Our reception will be indoors.
Where can I park?
We recommend Ubering as there is minimal parking at both locations. If you do need to drive, there is street parking in surrounding streets in Darling Point for Lindesay House and various car parks in the city for Mr Wong’s.
How do I get to Mr Wong from Lindesay House? And what if I arrive early?
The easiest way to get between the two venues is via Uber or Taxi, which takes approximately 10 minutes. If you are unable to do this please contact us and we can arrange alternate transport for you. Due to Vivid being on, please leave ample time to order an Uber and arrive for a strict 7pm arrival at Mr Wong. If you arrive earlier than 7pm, we recommend going to Establishment Bar or Palmer & Co for drinks which are right next door. You will not be let into Mr Wong until 7pm.
What time do the festivities end?
Official dinner proceedings will finish around 10:30pm, however the dancefloor will continue to 2am. If you have a tendency to get sore feet, bring some dancing shoes.
Is it ok to take pictures on the day?
Yes absolutely, we would love for you to take pictures as you please. We will also have a photographer and videographer on the day and will be sure to share the finished product when we receive it.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is strictly black tie, which means black tuxedos and bow ties for men and gowns for women, ideally floor length but can be midi length if appropriate formal cut and fabrication i.e. silk, chiffon, viscose, lace etc. Feel free to experiment with embellishments (sequins, beading, feathers etc.), colour, trains, accessories - have fun with it!
